5:25 Productions recently completed the post-production on the short film, "STOM", produced by Life in a Bulb Productions for the Kyknet Silwerskermfees. "STOM" tells the story of a woman who struggles with severe post-natal depression following the birth of her son.
The film is written by acclaimed writer Tina Kruger and directed by Morné du Toit, who also directed, "Prinses", Life in a Bulb's short film for the 2013 Silwerskermfees. DOP was Justus de Jager who filmed on the Red Epic, Go Pro and 7D for the hand-held, home video shots. The lead role is skillfully played by Marissa Drummond, whose emotional and gripping performance truly conveys the struggle that the woman faces each day.

5:25 Productions was responsible for the offline edit of the short film as well as the trailer, the visual effects, original music and final delivery. Online and grade was completed by FiX Post Production's C.A. van Aswegen and sound design and final mix was handled by Sarel van Vuuren at Shortwave Productions. Both production and post-production had to work on tight turnaround schedules, with production taking place over 4 days and post-production over 3 weeks.
It was a great pleasure working with the team from Life in a Bulb Productions again and all of us at 5:25 Productions would like to wish them the best for the Silwerskermfees which is taking place between the 27th and 30th of August.
